Post 22LR Availability
I haven't been lucky enough to catch it just right, but there are two places that have some good USA Made 22LR Ammo available now and then online at reasonable prices.

Those 2 places are:

-Cabela's

-Palmetto State Armory

If anyone out there can add to the list, please post.

The above 2 places had them at least once or twice last week, but since then, so far I haven't noticed anything.

I've bought regularly at 9mmammo.com. Not cheap but if it shows up on the web site it's in stock, and they ship wthin 48 hours.

I was at a gun show this weekend and they were getting $60.00 to $90.00 per brick. I walked away.

Appreciate the reply, but at those prices, I would just give up plinking.

Won't say how bad it is but I have an order in with sportsmans guide since Sept 012, they have readjusted delivery time 3x now as late as June 013. Can availability really this bad or is Speer/wholesalers reducing delivery to jack-up prices? :hmmm:

Well I finally got some 22LR's on the way. I bought some Federal Auto Match at Natchez, $18.99 for a Bulk Pack of 325.

I first hesitated on them as I read some non-favorable reviews on them recently, but soon after read somewhere (either here or at Marlin Owners) by a few others that they are pretty good, especially in our Henrys.

But, I had to buy some boxes of 30-30's to justify the High Shipping Costs they have. It worked out that I'll be getting my 22's for somewhere around my limit of 10 Cents each.

Natchez seems to have 22LR's now and then if y'all are needing some. I just bought these about 15 minutes ago.

I lucked out last week in that I asked the guy behind the counter at the Walmart store in Newark, Ohio if they had any 22LR ammo and he told me to wait a few minutes while he went out to the loading dock. When he came back he had a case of Winchester 555 count bricks. He was limiting them to one per customer at $23.00 ea.

By the time I bought one and was ready to leave there were several more guys ready to by them.

Well, things seem to still be getting better out there. I got my Ammo on the way from Natchez as mentioned above, and I got an alert a little while ago to Midway. They had Bricks of Winchester Super X 22LR's for about $32. Their shipping is also expensive, but it still only totaled to just over 10 Cents each. I decided to wait on it and they didn't last long anyway. They are already OOS.

I also got an alert to Widner's. They had some CCI's at a good price, but when I went to check on the Shipping, they not only require your Date of Birth, but also a Picture of your Photo ID yet!!

...just to buy Ammo!!
