Post Why doesn't Henry manufacture a tang sight?
Heck, it's bordering on sacrilegious to mount a scope on a Henry lever gun. I sure wish Henry would produce their own tang mounted siight with the following criteria:

1. Tang mounted, using existing screw holes that require no gunsmithing;
2. Foldable;
3. Adustable for both windage and elevation;
4. additional aperatures;
5. Inexpensive;
6. Nice finish

Am I asking too much? i can't understand why tang sights are so danged expensive. I'm thinking that Henry would make a tidy profit by manufacturing such a sight, especially given the "old eyes" of its customer base and the renewed interest in tang sights.

And while they're at it, why not design a scope that is consistent with an historic levergun?

:thumbsup: Hey I agree wholeheartedly! That would be nice and also make sure the tang sight folds down flat when not in use. The scopes would be cool also if they make them small enough to look good on a lever gun. Maybe someone could put a little bug in Mr. Anthony's ear. Of coarse it may cost to much to tool up for this.
But wouldn't that be a very cool option if you bought a new Henry to have a tang sight installed on it already from the factory ! :bow: :dance: :clapping: By the way great idea Sleazyrider :goodjob:

To keep the Henry Golden Boy receiver cover clean use BREAKFREE, which can be found at most gun shops
For general overall gun cleaning needs for all Henry rifles we recommend that you use name brand gun cleaning kits such as Kleen-Bore, Hoppes or Outers and the solutions provided in those kits. We also highly recommend Tetra Gun Care Products. You can find them at your local gun shop. We also recommend the J. Dewey FK-1 .22-.30 Field Kit which allows you to clean the gun without any disassembly.

For information on ballistics, we recommend “Ammo & Ballistics” a book published by Safari Press that has information on ballistics data out to 1000 yards on 170 calibers. Contact info@SafariPress.com
